Rajesh Tripathi is a Principal in the Firm's National Tax Services Practice and the National Leader for the U.S. India Corridor. He brings more than 19 years of U.S. international tax experience to the Firm. As a National Leader for the U.S. India Corridor, Rajesh focuses on Indian companies doing business in the U.S. and U.S. companies doing business in India.

 

He advises U.S. multinationals and foreign public and privately held companies with U.S. operations on international tax issues, day-to-day international outbound/inbound tax issues, cross-border transactions, and tax treaty issues. Rajesh has a diverse work experience and advises multinational companies on the entire lifecycle of doing business in India - Investment structuring, setting-up India presence, funding structuring, cash repatriation, restructuring of operating and holding structure, transfer pricing, setting up of back-office, winding off operations, the Goods and Service Tax (GST) and corporate law.

 

Rajesh has worked with clients across various industries, and his experience spans across several industries such as IT and ITES (Information Technology and Information Enabled Services), Infrastructure, Financial Services, Life Sciences, Media and Entertainment, Manufacturing, etc.

 

Rajesh earned an LL.M. in international and comparative law from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, an LL.B from the University of Bombay-Government Law College and a bachelor's degree in commerce and accounting from University of Mumbai.
