Justin Stowe serves as the Kansas legislative auditor and has worked in government performance audit for about 14 years. His 26-person office conducts performance audits, IT security audits, and economic development tax incentive evaluations. The office works at the direction of a joint legislative committee. Justin has a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in public administration from Kansas State University. He’s served on the local board of the Institute for Internal Auditors, as chair of the Mid America Intergovernmental Audit Forum, and as chair of the National Association of State Auditor’s human resources committee. Finally, he’s a Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP) and a Project Management Professional (PMP).
