She has worked with dozens of health payers to mitigate fraud waste and abuse for Medicaid Managed Care, Medicare Advantage, FEHB and commercial insurers. Clients rely on her expertise in medical coding and data analytics for strategic planning, coding accuracy audits, medical record review, policy recommendations and training.
Gay often serves as a liaison between business and technical staff, translating user needs to drive people-centric development efforts and efficiently implement fraud, waste and abuse solutions. As a health care fraud, waste and abuse subject matter expert and medical coder, Gay commonly presents at National Healthcare Anti-Fraud Association (NHCAA) conferences and maintains relationships with special investigations units at health payers across the country.
