Brian Canty
Brian Canty is a native of Kentucky. He graduated from Western Kentucky University (WKU) with a bachelors in Spanish. After WKU, he obtained a Juris Doctorate from Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University and is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association. Brian practiced law for a short period of time before pursuing a career in Federal law enforcement. In 2010, he became a Revenue Officer with the Internal Revenue Service in Anchorage, AK. In 2011, he became a Special Agent with the United States Treasury Department – Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA). While with TIGTA, he worked in the Ogden, UT and Birmingham, AL offices. In 2019, he became a Special Agent with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service and is assigned to the Richmond, VA FWS office. During his time as a Special Agent, he has investigated a wide array of financial crime, ranging from tax fraud schemes to international wildlife trafficking.
